Scalp Serum – Support healthy hair growth and a balanced scalp
It starts with a healthy scalp
Many people spend large amounts on shampoo, conditioner, hair masks and styling products in the hope of achieving stronger, thicker and healthier hair. But even the best hair products can struggle to deliver noticeable results if the foundation is not in place.
That foundation is the scalp.
Just as a plant can only grow in healthy soil, your hair needs optimal conditions in the scalp to grow strong and resilient. If the scalp is irritated, dry, oily or affected by dandruff, it can impact both hair quality and hair growth.
That is why interest in scalp serums has grown significantly in recent years. More and more people are becoming aware that targeted scalp care can play an important role in supporting hair growth, reducing hair loss and addressing concerns such as itching and dandruff.
Why Is the Scalp So Important for Hair Growth?
Beneath the surface of your scalp are thousands of hair follicles. These are the tiny structures from which every single hair grows.
Hair follicles are living structures that work continuously. They go through different stages of the hair growth cycle, during which new hairs are formed, grow and eventually shed as a natural part of the cycle.
When your scalp is healthy, your hair follicles have the best possible conditions to function optimally.
However, if the scalp is affected by:
- Dryness
- Irritation
- Excess oil (sebum) production
- Dandruff
- Inflammation
- Build-up of product residue
the environment surrounding the hair follicles becomes less than ideal.
This does not necessarily mean that your hair will stop growing, but it can affect the quality of new hair and, in some cases, contribute to increased hair shedding or slower hair growth.
That is why more people today are choosing to care for their scalp just as much as they care for their hair.
Hair Growth: Why Is My Hair Getting Thinner?
Hair loss and reduced hair growth are among the most common beauty and wellness concerns for both men and women.
In fact, millions of people around the world experience periods of increased hair shedding at some point in their lives.
The causes can vary widely.
Genetics
Genetics play a significant role in many types of hair loss.
Hormones
Hormonal changes during pregnancy, menopause or periods of hormonal imbalance can affect the hair growth cycle.
Stress
Physical and emotional stress can affect the body in many ways, including hair growth.
Diet and Lifestyle
A lack of essential nutrients can affect the quality and strength of your hair.
Scalp Health
An unhealthy scalp can create poor conditions for hair growth and contribute to hair loss and weaker, less resilient hair.
Choose a Scalp Serum with Clinically Proven Active Ingredients
The market for scalp serums has grown rapidly in recent years, and today there are countless products claiming to promote faster hair growth, reduce hair loss and improve scalp health. However, ingredient lists vary significantly, and not all products are backed by the same level of scientific evidence.
If you are looking for a scalp serum that is specifically formulated to support hair growth, reduce hair loss and improve scalp health, it is worth choosing a product that contains clinically proven active ingredients. While no product can guarantee the same results for everyone, clinically studied ingredients have been tested in controlled research and developed specifically to support healthier hair and a healthier scalp.

Can a Scalp Serum Promote Hair Growth?
One of the most common questions is:
Can a scalp serum actually promote hair growth?
The answer is that a scalp serum cannot change your genetics or create new hair follicles.
However, it can help create the optimal conditions for your hair's natural growth cycle by supporting a healthy scalp environment.
When your scalp is:
- Well cared for
- Properly hydrated
- Soothed
- Balanced
your hair follicles have the best possible conditions to function optimally.
Many people therefore experience that their hair feels:
- Thicker
- Healthier
- More resilient
- Less prone to breakage
This is exactly why scalp serums have become a regular part of the routine for people who want to actively support healthy hair growth.
Create Your Personalised Scalp Serum in Under 5 Minutes
Although hair loss can be caused by many different factors, scalp health is often an overlooked part of the equation.
When the skin on the scalp becomes irritated or unbalanced, it can create a less-than-ideal environment around the hair follicles.
A well-cared-for scalp can therefore help support the hair's natural growth cycle.
A high-quality scalp serum may help to:
- Reduce dryness
- Soothe irritation
- Improve the scalp's moisture balance
- Create a healthier environment around the hair follicles
That is why many people choose to include a scalp serum as part of their long-term approach to managing hair loss.

Day cream, night cream, eye cream, facial oil, facial serum, cleanser, and toner. Your bathroom shelf is overflowing with lovely, nourishing products that make your skin stronger, healthier, and more beautiful. But what about your scalp? It needs attention if you want stronger, healthier, and more beautiful hair. That's why we've developed the world's first customised scalp serum that matches your needs. It can solve multiple issues at once – or focus on solving one specific problem. The choice is yours. The most important thing is that the bottle finds its place on your bathroom shelf, so you remember to use it every day. Why is scalp care important? Few people realise that healthy hair starts with the scalp. While having a good shampoo and conditioner is important because they treat the hair you already have, the scalp is the growth layer for hair roots that will develop into new, strong hair strands. Therefore, it's crucial to care for it with a targeted scalp serum. What makes this scalp serum special? &]:mt-2 list-decimal space-y-2 pl-8" depth="0" data-mce-fragment="1"> It can be customised to your hair: Unlike other scalp serums on the market, you can customise your LULAB scalp serum to address your scalp's specific needs. You can combine up to three out of six scalp goals in the same serum, which no existing products offer. Choose between: Increased hair growth, healthy scalp, anti-dandruff, soothing effect for itchy scalp, moisture for dry scalp, and reduced oil production in the scalp. It's developed with potent ingredients, meaning ingredients with high efficacy. We've carefully researched which ingredients provide the best results, and our scalp serum contains maximum doses of each ingredient so you achieve the best results fastest. The effect depends 100% on dosage and recommended use. It contains only ingredients with documented effects and has been tested by test subjects. It's vegan and, like our other hair care products, free from sulfates, silicones, and parabens. Moreover, like all LULAB products, the new serum is only produced when you order it. This means you receive a freshly made serum. Besides the ingredients, you can choose the bottle colour and have your name on it. When can you see results? Our tests show that it takes one to three months before seeing an effect. It takes time to treat the scalp and hair follicles, so be patient. Results will come. We recommend using the scalp serum daily, either in the morning or evening before bedtime. It's non-greasy and can be used on wet or dry hair. Instructions included. Is there anything a scalp serum cannot do? Yes! It's important for you to know what this – or any other scalp serum – cannot do, so you're best informed. &]:mt-2 list-decimal space-y-2 pl-8" depth="0" data-mce-fragment="1"> It cannot treat medical hair loss. If hair roots are dead, a serum cannot make hair grow again. However, if there's life in the hair roots, it can boost your hair growth by ensuring more hairs remain in the growth phase longer while shortening the resting phase where hair stops growing before falling out. This way, you'll experience having more hair on your head. It cannot give you more hair follicles. On average, a person loses 50-100 hairs per day. This is completely normal and happens because hair goes through three phases: Growth, rest, and shedding. However, some lose several hundred hairs daily and experience actual hair loss. Here, our serum can boost your hair growth by extending the growth phase and shortening the resting phase. You create the best conditions for this when your scalp's microbiota is healthy. Learn moreProblems with dandruff? You are not alone
A healthy scalp is essential for beautiful and healthy hair. But for most, scalp care is an overlooked part of their hair care routine, even though many suffer from various scalp problems. You can read about this in our post about a healthy scalp environment. One of the more widespread problems is dandruff. But what exactly is dandruff? And how do you get rid of it? We'll get into that in this post. What is dandruff and what does it look like? Dandruff is rejected skin cells, that are a result of our skin constantly being renewed, and therefore getting rid of old skin cells. So it's something we all have – some just have it more than others. In fact, about 20% of the adult population experience problems with dandruff. A problem that affects men more often than women. Are you in doubt about whether you suffer from dandruff or other problems such as dry, sensitive, or oily scalp? That makes sense. It can be difficult to distinguish between the symptoms of these problems. They can all include redness, itching, and flaking skin flakes. However, there are some indicators that can help get you on the right track. Despite the beliefs of many, dandruff is rarely the result of a dry scalp. Dry scalp often shows up as smaller and dry flakes (read more about this in our post on a healthy scalp). Another phenomenon that can be confused with dandruff is the buildup from various styling products. The accumulated product appears as flakes, of the same color as the product itself, that stick to the hair strand. But if we look at dandruff, factors such as genetics, stress, environment, and diet play a role. However, the most common cause of an overproduction of dandruff is a fungal infection of the scalp. The culprit is the yeast Pityrosporum ovale. And although it may sound scary with a fungal infection, it is completely harmless. In fact, Pityrosporum ovale is found naturally on the skin of humans, as a part of our microbiome. The problem only arises when the fungus begins to divide uncontrollably, increasing the production of dead skin cells, and thus giving rise to dandruff. What can be done to minimize dandruff? It is important to choose hair products that target your specific scalp needs. This is possible at LULAB, where you can get a gentle and effective customized shampoo, with scalp assets added that counteract dandruff. We have several natural ingredients that actively fight dandruff. One of these is an extract from Rosebay willowherb. Rosebay willowherb grows wild in the Northern Hemisphere, where it has traditionally been used to relieve skin irritation. With the key molecule oenothiene B, this extract makes sure to, among other things, normalize the Pityrosporum ovale level, and therefore reduce dandruff production. And if the problems with dandruff are more extensive, we also have an ingredient against this: propanediol caprylate, which is extracted from palm trees and is therefore 100% natural. This ingredient has an effect comparable to Climbazole, which is found in many dandruff shampoos. LULAB's tailor-made shampoo can therefore be used as a natural and gentle alternative (or supplement) to classic dandruff shampoos, that can be harsh on your scalp. This way, you can fight dandruff without compromising your hair care needs – and completely without sulfates, silicones, and parabens. Adapt your dandruff shampoo to your needs - without sulfates, parabens & silicones of course.

Scalp Dandruff – One of the Most Common Scalp Concerns
If you notice white flakes on your shoulders or in your hair, you are far from alone.
Dandruff is one of the most common scalp concerns and can affect both men and women of all ages.
For many people, dandruff is more than just a cosmetic issue. It can also be associated with:
- Itching
- Irritation
- Sensitivity
- Discomfort
What Causes Dandruff?
Dandruff occurs when skin cells on the scalp are shed more quickly than normal.
This can be caused by several factors:
Dry Scalp
A lack of moisture can cause the skin to become dry and flaky.
Excess Sebum Production
Too much oil on the scalp can disrupt its natural balance.
Sensitive Skin
Some people are more sensitive to environmental factors or hair care products.
An Imbalance in the Scalp Microbiome
The scalp has its own natural balance of bacteria and fungi, which plays an important role in maintaining healthy skin.
Itchy scalp - when your scalp is trying to tell you something
Itching is often one of the first signs that your scalp is not in its best condition.
Many people see an itchy scalp as a minor irritation, but it can actually be a sign that the skin lacks moisture or is out of balance.
An itchy scalp can be caused by:
- Dryness
- Dandruff
- Product build-up
- Sensitive skin
- Environmental factors
The more you scratch, the more irritated the skin can become, creating a negative cycle.
Anti-dandruff - more than just a shampoo
Many people try to solve dandruff simply by switching shampoo.
But if the cause of dandruff lies deeper within the balance of the scalp, a more targeted approach may be needed.
A scalp serum can work as a supplement to your daily hair care routine by focusing directly on the skin.
The goal is not just to hide the symptoms, but to help create better balance in the scalp.
That is why many people choose a serum as part of their anti-dandruff routine.
Reduces and helps fight dandruff
When the scalp receives the right care, many people experience:
- Fewer visible flakes
- Less dryness
- Greater comfort
- Less irritation
With regular use, a scalp serum can help reduce and fight dandruff by supporting the scalp’s natural balance.
This makes the serum an obvious choice for people looking for a more long-term solution to recurring dandruff problems.
