SHEA BUTTER ETHYL ESTERS

Shea butter conditions well, but it is heavy. It melts at body temperature, settles as a rich film and can leave hair flat and greasy at the root. This version is shea butter in which the heavy triglycerides have been converted into light esters.

The result is an oil that is liquid at room temperature and penetrates the hair shaft instead of staying on the outside. It brings shea butter's fatty acids and vitamin E along with it, filling the lipid gaps left by coloring, heat and wear. Hair becomes soft all the way through rather than merely smooth on the surface.

Because the esters are light, they also work in fine hair, which otherwise cannot carry pure shea butter. You get the conditioning without the weight, and the product rinses clean without building up residue.
