The activated charcoal in LULAB's products is made from Danish red willow grown in North Jutland. The willow is carbonized at high temperature and then activated, a process that opens millions of microscopic pores in the charcoal. A single gram has an internal surface area the size of a suburban garden.

Those pores do the work. Charcoal acts like a magnet on dirt, excess sebum, styling residue and particles from city air. Instead of having to be scrubbed away with harsh cleansers, the impurities bind to the charcoal and rinse out along with it. That is how the cleanse can be thorough and gentle at the same time.

The result is a deeply cleansed scalp and hair that feels fresh, light and completely clean. Especially good if your scalp turns oily quickly, or if you use styling products and notice hair getting heavy between washes.
