Your scalp is covered in millions of bacteria, and most of them are there because they should be. Together they make up the scalp's microbiome, and when the balance between them tips, itching, dandruff, oily hair and irritation follow.

Lactococcus is a lactic acid bacterium, the same family used for cheese and yogurt. It is not used alive here: the bacteria are cultivated, broken down and turned into a lysate, a concentrated liquid of the active substances they have produced. Peptides, enzymes and lactic acid. It is stable, works without needing to be kept alive, and cannot multiply on the skin.

The active substances kick-start the skin's own renewal and strengthen the barrier from the outside in. A stronger barrier means less moisture loss, less irritation and a sebum production that settles down on its own. The result is a scalp that feels fresh for longer between washes.
