Oat Extract

AVENA SATIVA (OAT) KERNEL EXTRACT

The extract is obtained from the oat kernel, which contains beta-glucans: long sugar chains that bind many times their own weight in water and settle as a thin, protective film on the skin.

On the scalp this does two things at once. Moisture is held in place instead of evaporating, and the protective film eases the itching, redness and tightness that come with a dry or sensitive scalp. Oats also contain avenanthramides, a group of natural compounds with a documented calming effect on irritated skin.

When the scalp is in balance, hair has the best possible conditions to grow out healthy, and that is the whole point of caring for the roots rather than only the lengths.
