Anhydroxylitol

ANHYDROXYLITOL

Anhydroxylitol is a sugar derivative extracted from birch. It is one of three sugars that work together on a rather elegant moisturizing strategy: instead of simply laying moisture on the surface, they get the skin to hold on to the water it already has.

Anhydroxylitol penetrates the upper layers of the skin, where it binds water and simultaneously stimulates the skin's own production of the lipids and proteins that make up the barrier. A stronger barrier means less evaporation, and therefore a scalp that stays hydrated hours after you have washed your hair.

The result is a soft, supple scalp with less dryness, tightness and flaking, and hair that feels softer from the root.
